"When I was a child, I had bad feet and so I spent a lot of time at my Uncle Ronnie's podiatry office. This gave me the opportunity to talk with him at length about what he did for a living. He was extremely happy with his profession and said he enjoyed his work because it changed people's lives for the better. Spending time with Uncle Ronnie talking about feet changed my life for the better, too, as it was the deciding factor in my applying to podiatric medical school.

I want my patients to receive the latest treatments and that's why I have completed extensive postgraduate training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and continued education with many fellowships in peripheral nerve surgery and arthroscopic surgery."

"I was planning on becoming a dentist until I visited a local podiatrist's office due to a foot wart. We got to talking and I told my podiatrist how I planned on entering the healthcare field but as a dentist. He then told me how much he loved being a foot specialist and that I should investigate the podiatric field. Next he told me to ask my dentist how much he liked being a dentist. I did so and my dentist told me that he hated being a dentist and the rest, as they say, is history.

Podiatry turned out to be an interesting, challenging, resultsoriented profession that allows me to help all types of people. When I see patients I've treated walk out of my office, pain-free, it only reinforces the fact that I made the right decision by becoming a foot and ankle specialist. My goal is not only to effectively treat my patients' foot and ankle problems but to use my training and many years of experience to prevent them from occurring in the first place."
